Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers!

Why are there so many pictures of the Raleigh logo if you are Greentalist?
We used to be the Raleigh International Trust (RIT) for 20 years. However, after it closed, we became Greentalist Costa Rica. As a result, we carry forward our history while focusing on our independent youth-led mission. Furthermore, we remain connected to the Raleigh International Trust Movement through the Raleigh Costa Rica Society. Since 2023, Impact Travel Group runs the Raleigh Expedition, meanwhile we concentrate on empowering young people through our own programs.
Are you Raleigh Costa Rica?
Originally, we were Raleigh Costa Rica, one of the most active countries in the global network. After RIT closed in 2022, we became Greentalist Costa Rica. Nevertheless, we continue to stay connected to Raleigh’s spirit. In addition, our volunteers still collaborate with the Raleigh International Expedition, maintaining a strong relationship with the global network.
Is the Greentalist Expedition the same as the Raleigh International Expedition?
We maintain the best features of the Raleigh Expedition. Additionally, we provide specialized training on environmental issues and climate action. Moreover, participants benefit from continued support through the Global Greentalist Alumni Movement. For instance, alumni regularly share experiences and guidance with new volunteers, creating a lasting impact.
Is Greentalist a legitimate non-profit organization?
Yes! Greentalist Costa Rica is fully registered in Costa Rica, with over 25 years of experience in community and environmental projects. Furthermore, we collaborate with key partners such as the National Parks System, Microsoft Non-Profit, and CAF of America. As a result, our programs are both credible and impactful.
Can I trust a Costa Rican organization to provide a safe and high-quality experience?
Absolutely. In addition, we follow international health and safety protocols and have decades of experience hosting volunteers from Europe, the UK, Canada, and the U.S. Moreover, our standards are based on Raleigh International and have been adapted to address today’s global challenges.
Who runs Greentalist?
Greentalist Costa Rica is led by experienced Costa Rican professionals, many of whom were part of Raleigh Costa Rica. Furthermore, we are youth-led and supported by local and international advisors, ensuring that we follow best practices in impact travel and volunteering. Consequently, participants benefit from safe, structured, and inspiring experiences.
